Central Catholic’s academic program is designed around the five-fold Marianist vision for education. In the spirit of founder William Joseph Chaminade, we work to form all students in their faith. We facilitate an integral quality education of the whole person in the community. We inculcate an ability to adapt and change to the times without compromising morality, an enthusiasm for service and evangelization leading to a culture of justice and peace, and a family spirit that mirrors in our day the Holy Family of Nazareth. Central Catholic has been from its inception a college preparatory liberal arts school. We aim to partner with parents to form the "whole person." The scientific and technical education available at Central Catholic is first-rate, with a full range of math through AP Calculus and science offerings. These include our widely acclaimed Physics I class for freshmen, biology, anatomy and ecology, pre-AP and AP Chemistry, and several computer courses, including joint-enrollment college-level courses at St. Mary's University. Central Catholic’s long tradition of educating the "whole man" continues, featuring Latin, Spanish and a full range of English courses including AP offerings, journalism, social studies through economics, four years of religion, leadership principles and civics through JROTC, Christian leadership and a wide variety of fine arts, including drama, band, chorus, creative writing, graphics and ceramics. |
