Central Catholic is pleased to welcome and introduce Ms. Beatriz Mora as our new Dean of Academics. Ms. Mora went through our hiring for mission process that included the input from faculty, administration, and parents. All parties were impressed by her experience, credentials, and alignment with our core values.
Ms. Mora comes to us with thirty years of teaching and administrative experience. She has taught English at Holmes High School, Warren High School, and Rudder Middle School. She most recently served as the Academic Dean at Holmes High school where she collaborated with and mentored teachers to improve the educational programs and maintain high-quality teaching and learning standards. She holds a BA in English and MA in Educational Leadership both from UTSA.
A product of Catholic education herself, she is thrilled to be back in this environment to work with teachers and students in continuing the work of Blessed William Joseph Chaminade. "I am honored to be working at Central Catholic and helping support our mission of educating young men’s minds and souls," said Ms. Mora. When asked to summarize her philosophy of education she stated, "I believe in Aristotle’s quote stating, 'Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.'”
Ms. Mora has eagerly begun getting oriented to the campus and her position and is working closely with the faculty & leadership team to prepare for the upcoming school year.
