History: Officer Candidate School (OCS) is the Central Catholic High School Corps of Cadets' main training academy for prospective JROTC Officers. The school is generally open to qualified Corps Enlisted Noncommissioned Officers, candidates who successfully complete the rigorous, 12-week school receive formal commissions as JROTC 2nd Lieutenant and assume the ability to command cadets, work on the Brigade Commanders Staff, or become a Platoon Leader. Officers do not have easy jobs. The men and women you lead will count on them to make the right decisions when the going gets tough. Officer Candidate School is designed to give officers a framework for a role as unit commanders. The Cadets will learn tactics training, how to deal with mental and emotional stress, and how to give orders. By the end of the course, our Cadet will know how to lead..
