Doctoral Pharmacy Student Visits Central Catholic

On Friday, March 3, Central alum and current UIW Pharmacy student, William Tondre, gave a talk to a
room full of current Central students on the dangers of psychoactive drugs, such as synthetic marijuana,
psychedelics, benzodiazepines, and opioids. Will went into detail how each type of drug affects the
human brain and heart. His talk was fitting for students in Mr. Bendele’s biology or psychology classes.
It was awesome having Will back on campus and we wish him the best as he finishes up his doctorate in
pharmacology!

The Science Department has been busy all year with bringing in guest speakers to talk to our boys about
their careers, their research, and their passions. Stay tuned for more guest lecturers to be on campus
next quarter.
