Exploring Ancient Writing: Mr. Delgado's World History Students Craft Cuneiform Tablets

On an exciting afternoon before a Friday night football game, the students of Mr. Delgado's World History class who expressed interest embarked on a unique activity - creating Cuneiform tablets. Cuneiform, the world's earliest form of writing, was developed in ancient Sumer in Mesopotamia around 3,200 BC. Writers used a stylus to impress wedge-shaped marks onto clay tablets, preserving their thoughts for centuries.

After learning about this ancient script, students eagerly took up the challenge and crafted their own Cuneiform tablets. They carefully pressed the stylus into the clay, replicating the intricate marks that have fascinated historians for millennia.

These students demonstrated great enthusiasm and creativity as they embarked on this exercise. Through their efforts, they not only honed their artistic skills but also unearthed a unique connection to an ancient civilization that has fascinated scholars for centuries.
