A major shout out goes out to Mark Chapa, class of 2004. He is a nurse who gave a talk on November 8 discussing some of the craziest things he’s ever seen in the ER.
He was amazing! At times he was like a stand-up comedian up there! There were moments where he had our current students cracking up.
There were other moments, though, he showed a tremendous amount of empathy and human dignity. He really taught some of our younger students who might be interested in medicine what to expect down the road.
Mark has a gift for storytelling. He was classy, informative, and hilarious all at the same time - and we were blessed that he took some time to share his passion with our guys.
