Central Catholic Students Excel in Mathemartist Competition

This year, Ms. Hanson's students from Central Catholic participated in the prestigious Mathemartist Competition hosted by Texas A&M University-Commerce (TAMUC). The competition aimed to merge the realms of mathematics and art by challenging students to use the DESMOS Graphing Calculator in order to create equations and design an artwork piece with the message "Have a mathy holiday".

Luke Martinez ‘25 earned 2nd Place, he won a $100 gift card and a $1000 scholarship from the university.
Noah Mata ‘25, Eamon Garcia ‘25, Cristian "Isaiah" Gonzalez ‘25, Joseph Collier ‘24, and Roland "RJ" Rojas ‘24 all earned honorable mentions. Each won a $10 gift card and a $300 scholarship from the university.
