Central Catholic High School is thrilled to announce that Dr. Lee Hernandez will continue to serve as the principal of our school for another three years after accepting a contract extension by CCHS President, Jason Longoria ‘96. This extension underscores Dr. Hernandez's exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to our school community.
Dr. Hernandez's contract extension, effective at the commencement of the upcoming academic year (July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027), signifies a commitment to maintaining stability and excellence in our educational environment moving forward while celebrating the great successes and accomplishments during his initial three years in the role.

During his current tenure, Dr. Hernandez has achieved remarkable milestones, including successfully guiding the school through an accreditation review from TCCB-ED. He has built and continues to foster a culture of transparency and trust among faculty, staff, and the wider community. Additionally, his collaborative efforts with peers at other local private schools have strengthened professional relationships and enriched educational initiatives.
Furthermore, Dr. Hernandez's efforts to introduce our Varsity eSports program and advocacy for the new House System at Central Catholic contribute significantly to the holistic growth and development of our students in our Marianist tradition of excellence.
Looking ahead, Dr. Hernandez plans to build upon his past successes by launching new educational programs aimed at enhancing student learning experiences. He will continue to prioritize strong relationships with parents, staff, and students as part of his ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive and thriving school community.
