On Feb. 23, sophomore Thomas Murray’s Trail to Eagle 5k took place at Olmos Basin Park. After months of planning, everything came together beautifully.
The proceeds from this 5k will be in support of Thomas’ Eagle Scout project. He plans on adding a playground at McAllister Park with musical instruments designed for special needs children.
20 Guardian Angels helped out, as well as Central Catholic parents, and teachers. Out of more than 130 runners, sophomore Leo Bendele won the 5k. Freshman Luke Fernandez and Ms. Dorothy Hanson also medaled. All in all, a huge shoutout to Thomas for his amazing job in putting this 5k together.
