Iron Fangs Prepare to Strike

It’s almost time for our robotics competitions to start up. Our school’s team is called the Iron Fangs. These young men and women have been putting in incredibly long hours preparing for these upcoming competitions and the commitment these kids show daily is extraordinary.

Their coach is Ms. Sharon Jarmon. She is enthusiastic and deeply cares for our young men. She wears A LOT of different hats for this team. Sophomore Jonathan White is the team captain. We are also blessed to have so many parents willing to step in and help with the team.

The Iron Fangs are the ONLY school in the archdiocese to participate in FRC, which is the most competitive and advanced league in the nation. All of the students on the team are interested in majors and careers in science, math, and engineering, so the experiences they get from FRC competitions are priceless!

This Thursday, March 6th, the team will be taking off to Belton, TX for their first competition. After that, the team will compete in San Antonio during Spring Break at the Freeman Coliseum on Friday, March 14th, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and then again from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The competition will continue the next day on Saturday, March 15th, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

Admission is free so please come stop by to see our Iron Fangs in Action!
